When it comes to effective and efficient project management, good document management is essential. However it all starts with having the right documents in place to assist with this. The right amount of documentation is also important … whether it be for reporting purposes, documenting the project risks and issues, or for the all important task of effective management of the project plan or schedule.

The time poor project manager and project management team will often use templates for this purpose. The use of ready-made, task specific templates will allow the project manager to more effectively leverage whatever time is available, to make more effective use of it.

Project management document templates also provides project teams with an effective means of capturing standardized project processes and procedures.
